problem with getetxt

Hello,
I am tryng to use the gettext utility. I have made all
things and get the po file and compile it and get the
mo file put what I could not do until now is to get
the po file ( myfile_my.po) to work with my testing
program (test.c) Please if know how to do this and
link the program with the new file I made
(myfile_my.po)
