Hello sir/madam
i have problems creating the gnumake.exe file
can you please guide me how to create that
i am creating this on a windows 2000 service pack 3, p4, 2.4 ghz,with 1 gb ram system.
i downloaded the
gunzip-1.2.4.-i386.exe
tar-1.11.2a.exe
and make-3.80.tar.gz.
According to the instructions in oracle site( i am trying to install oracle apps 11.5.7)
these files are pre-requisites to install oracle apps.
step 1. i rename the gunzip-1.2.4.-i386.exe to gunzip.exe
step 2. rename the tar-1.11.2a.exe to tar.exe
step 3. created a directory c:\gnumake
step 4. copied the gunzip.exe and tar.exe into that directory
step 5. downloaded make-3.80.tar.gz into c:\gnumake directory.
step 6. ran the gunzip make-3.80.tar.gz
it removed the extension gz.
step 7. then i ran the command tar -xvf make-3.77.tar
it created adirectory make-3.80 and had lot of files in it.
step 8. then i ran the file build_w32.bat
and it created a directory winrel but it has n't created a file gnumake.exe.
instead it gave lots and lots of errors like
C:\gnumake\make-3.80>cl.exe /nologo /MT /W3 /GX /YX /O2 /I . /I glob /I w32/incl
ude /D NDEBUG /D WINDOWS32 /D WIN32 /D _CONSOLE /D HAVE_CONFIG_H /FR.\WinRel/ /F
p.\WinRel/gnumake.pch /Fo.\WinRel/ /c .\w32\pathstuff.c
'cl.exe' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
Can u please reply and guide me what i need to do to create a gnumake file
without that i cannot install my orale apps.
i really apreciate your reply and help in this regard
Thanks
Ramesh.
