www.cygwin.com (download setup.exe, run it, choose required packages to
install). Ideally you require NT-based system and install onto NTFS (for
unix file permissions to work). Read FAQ and note CYGWIN environmental,
"binary v text mounts" and the (cygwin specific variant) "mount". Don't
install into same folder as "setup.exe". Those tips will save you a lot of
problems in the future.
