Hi I am using GNU make 3.79 ( which I build on my machine)....... to
build ICU 2.6.1 libraray.
While I am able to run the runConfigureICU and extract the all componet
but when I try to 'make' icu lib files , it gives following error.
Searching the help and groups , I found this error means there are NUL
character in make file but the error mentions the name and line no of
make file in that case. But in my case it just gives config/:1:
..............and I dont have any file named config in the current
directory ..........but I have a sudirectory by that name. But that
doesnt make any sense to me.

config/:1: warning: NUL character seen; rest of line ignored
config/:1: *** missing separator. Stop.

BTW I am trying all this on a HP UX 11i machine.

Any help on this is much appreciated.

Thanks,
Sanjay
