Hi, yes thanks that sounds like exactly what I need.  I will check the
variants you suggest.  Off the top of your head (anybody) is there a variant
that allows Poisson distributed parameters?

Also would still appreciate insight into why my approach (described below)
led to diminishing speed on higher iterations.  Why would reassigning
.parameter values over and over lead to reduction in speed for subsequent
.op analyses?
