Hi,
After installing Debian Squeeze AMD64 on a macbook 2,1, I can't get
dmidecode to work :
# dmesg | grep DMI
[ 0.000000] DMI not present or invalid.
dmidecode is needed eg by pommed, a daemon used on macbooks under linux
for controlling screen brightness.
I have not found any solutions to this problem, and I think it's grub
related.
I'm booting using refit, which chainloads grub2 with the following
grub.cfg config :
fakebios
search --set /vmlinuz
linux /vmlinuz noefi acpi=force video=efifb root=/dev/sda3
initrd /initrd.img
I tried to remove the acpi option, to boot with noacpi, and the problem
is still there.
Removing the fakebios option disable keyboard input.
Is there any solution to this problem ?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
