Apologies, I'm not actually on the list. Took me awhile to realize
that responses were sent to the list and not to me.

Yes they can. That's why I mentioned dl. In theory dl will always be
0x80 because of the way bios handles boot order, but I don't
completely trust it.

No, it's some weird interaction between multipath and the raid
controller. You can see both the RAID array and the physical drives
within it.
