Brian,
please, don't bother to downgrade the bzr format. Old software is my
problem not yours. At some point I will have to upgrade my bzr package
to a newer version anyway.

But generally speaking, I think that maintaining a git mirror of the
bzr repo would be useful for quite a few folks who like me are
allergic to bzr.
