we have ported basic x into hurd and our project is to port
a window manager into hurd.
we heard that we could port fluxbox into hurd....if anybody
has any information about this please do help.
and if no, then does anybody know of any window manager
that can be successfully ported into hurd..
please do include the appropriate steps as we are all
beginners in this field...
and if there are no portable window managers then please do
help with steps to port gnome into hurd.
Don't know if this is helpful, but if you have X working and
you can get a Common Lisp implementation (like sbcl) working
(maybe it already does?) it might be easy or even trivial
to get stumpwm running. Plus stumpwm is just the kind of
geeky Emacs-like window manager Hurd users might like.
