This was already reported in May 2011, and Paul's analysis [1] was that
it's a "fairly serious kernel bug". Also, Jim hit another bug of this system,
in /bin/sh, saying "you probably don't want to use that version of /bin/sh
on solaris 5.11." [2] You may try the workaround from [2], but I would suggest
to upgrade to a newer version [3].
