OK. I followed up on this and have created a v1.0.0 release of what I
think are useful functions. Of course, this is just my opinion and
others may want/need other things.
For those that are interested, please check out http://gmsl.sf.net/.
There's documentation, a release of the code and a test suite. Should
work with any GNU Make (it does automatic detection of $(eval) so that
some functionality gets disabled if you are using GNU Make version <
3.80).
I'd welcome comments in the Open Discussion forum on the SF site and
once I get enough feedback I'll think about what needs to be
added/changed. In the interim, if you have the time, please take a look
at the library and give your feedback on the SF site.
