any function less ominous than "warning"?

  not sure if there are any plans for this, but is there a function
for printing stuff that has less ominous overtones than "warning"?
perhaps "note" or "info" or something?  i've always felt that
"warning" should be reserved for stuff that's non-fatal but still
something to be concerned about.  as opposed to just wanting to print
something.
