I hope to develop a basic understanding of how to use MCSim.
The levels are a bit confusing for me right now.

Yes, you had the levels a bit wrong (admitedly they are not easy to deal with, even though they are more elegant than loops). The attached modified mcmc.in seems to work. No need to do 1E5 simulations. 1000 are enough...
