Thanks, Carl. Gnans seems to be missing pieces I want--an MCMC sampler to fit models, multilevel modeling capability, easy modeling of biological models for my own edification, generalizability to non-biological settings (e.g., epidemiology or really any system dynamics modeling), and a language I know and like (I like the MCSim language, as I like the Vensim language).
