I respect nano's simplicity, but coming from an Emacs background I can't be help but be curious: Is there a way in nano to emulate mode hooks, setting soft vs hard tabs and tab display width per file type?
I would like my ~/.nanorc to default to soft tabs of width 2, use soft tabs of width 4 for Markdown, and hard tabs of width 2 for Makefiles. Is this possible?
