I am not a lawyer, and even if I were, I would not give free legal
advice :)

Anyway, distribution happens when you cross the boundaries of a legal
entity.  If I take a GPL program and link it with whatever I like, I am
not violating anything, as I am not distributing it.  If I give it to my
employee in the context of my relationship with him as an employee, I am
still not distributing it, and again I am not violating the GPL.

Again, the FAQ quoted above looks pretty clear to me in this regard.
