How can I distribute an application that is developed using Octave?

If the same application is developed using Matlen, the application cab be coverted using the steps identified in the below page.

Is there any similar method in Octave?

My application is written in Octave. Now i need to distribute it.

If Octave doesn't have similar tools, what are the steps that are to followed.

My machine has Octave 3.6.3 and gcc and java version 1.7.0_15.

OS is Ubuntu 12.04
