Ok, thanks. I picked choice 2, adding PPAs:

But, installing as usual:
/sudo apt-get install octave/
it automatically switches to octave3.2, which (obviously) does not need any
update:
/Nota, viene selezionato "octave3.2" al posto di "octave"
octave3.2 è già alla versione più recente./
How can I force it to install the /latest/ Octave?
