I talked to Liz off-list on this. The symlink from the main Formulas/ in to
the homebrew-science/ tap had gotten lost somehow, and `brew tap --repair`
fixed it. If anyone sees similar symptoms, you can try `brew tap --repair`;
it's benign if nothing's broken so it's worth a try.
