If this is a policy at work, this is unduly restrictive. You should
ask this horrible work policy to be lifted or find a better job.
If they refuse to lift this restriction, ask yourself, do you really
want to work at a company where they are trying to deny you the rights
and protections that GPLv3 grants you? You want to be disallowed from
using Octave by your employer?
