Good Luck. if Mike's numbers were correct, you're attempting to construct a 5492743 x 420000 array. Even using a 64-bit  type, at 8-bytes each you're gonna need a lot of RAM to hold that in memory. (18TB... hope that Matlab is on a high performance cluster)
