how to add filling patterns to bar chart

Hi there,

 

I want to apply black and white filling patterns to fill bar charts plotted using bar command to have publishable plots. It can be used in addition to color or by itself. I have searched mailing list to find out how to do that but could not find any helpful post.

I really appreciate it if you could help me.
