I do not know about decimate() from the signal package, so I cannot
answer your query.
However, if you need decimate only for plotting, I suggest you use
plotdecimate() from the plot package instead. If you try that, I would
be curious about a comparison with using decimate in terms of speed, ease
of use and, once you manage to correct the NaN problem, accuracy.
