Thanks for your help.
I tried 'optim_doc' (both in a terminal at Octave prompt and in the
command line of QtOctave) but it doesn't work, probably because I am
running Octave 3.2.4. So I tried at home on another computer running
Octave 4.0.0, but it didn't work either.
However I searched for 'nonlin_residmin' and 'nonlin_curvefit' which
seems to be better for my problem but are not available in Octave 3.2.4.
I will try these functions as soon as I will have Octave upgraded on my
computer.
