Good morning,
I'm very interested in the parallel capabilities of octave specially as it
relates to multi core processors running Windows OS, now prevalent in the
market.
After playing a bit (from a non-computer scientist point of view) with the
parallel and mpi pkgs from Octave forge it seems there are still installations
or implementation bugs/problems. It is always possible i may have done
something wrong however i am interested in learning...
- what would be needed in order to truly have a plug-play situation where the
original Octave installation had everything it needs to work out of the box?
- what are the technical challenges involved, as best estimated by the
developers? Is it time, funding?
-is there interest in making progress in this area?
