Thanks for your reply.
I entered the following simple commands.
> x=1:10;
> y=sin(x);
> plot(x,y);
The x and y variables appeared in the workspace
I let the program run over night and in the morning and the Mac pinwheel was
still spinning.
I'll try your second alternative for ftlk --devel this evening.
Also note that I tried installing Aquaterm with Gnuplot the other night, but
still no luck.
Is there a way to fully uninstall octave and give it a fresh retry?
Please note that I'm running OS X 10.11.3.
I really appreciate your help.
