thanks all of you - so I was kind of close but missed the last step - thank
you very much for helping!
I tested and came down to 0.42s for my entire script - compared to something
around 4.2s before ... great!
Przemek's solution was the one requiring the smallest effort ...

with constant spacing like courier! :-)
