Is the code you used for the poisson test in Octave exactly the one included in 
the tarball at
http://roland65.free.fr/benchmarks/benchmarks-0.2.tar.gz ?

I just tried it but it does not seem run for me neither in Octave 4.0 nor in in 
Octave 4.1 ...
