Dear SebastianI can not go to this workshop, but I want to support your idea presenting octave as an open tool. I am working at the University of Hamburg and DESY and I am trying to promote and use octave in research as well as in teaching.

Dear all, the German Helmholtz Foundation organizes an Open Science Workshop “Zugang zu und Nachnutzung von wissenschaftlicher Software” in Nov 2016 (Dresden, Germany), see https://www.hzdr.de/db/Cms?pNid=243&pOid=47484 I plan to go there and I consider to give a talk to advertise Octave for "open" research and teaching. Maybe other (German speaking) Octave enthusiasts are also interested?
