Dear NJank,
Thank you for your reply.
I start Octave by clicking the desktop icon, which was created during the
Octave installation. The icon calls:
C:\Octave\Octave-4.0.3\octave.vbs –no-gui
FYI, the command prompt is within the Octave window.
