Octave Window

Hi,

 

I used octave for very a short period of time.  I re-installed the software on a new computer I am using now, but I can’t see the white background window when I run octave.

When I click on the XWin Server, I can see an opening window but it close immediately.

 

When I test the plot command, I can see a plot, but a very raw plot, not the way I remember seeing it before.
