TeX parse error: syntax error

When I run my code that ends with this:
plot(xx,yy)
hold off
xlabel('days')
ylabel('grams')
title('Soap drying time')
# y=203* e^(.02847*x) +1234+ 91*e^(.5327*x)
text(2,1500,' y=203* e^^ (.02847*x) +1234+ 91*e^^ (.5327*x)', 'fontsize',20)
I get the plot that is attached, and this error message:
TeX parse error: syntax error
TeX parse error: syntax error
>>
How to get y=203* e^(.02847*x) +1234+ 91*e^(.5327*x)
printed on the plot?
