Hello,
statistician express models using the Wilkinson notation: y ~ x + a*b + c:d
which originates from Symbolic Description of Factorial Models for Analysis
of Variance , G. N. Wilkinson and C. E. Rogers , 1973, DOI 10.2307/2346786
Basically, the task is to translate a column list into a number of generator
terms. Does anybody have a working translator between such notation and a
set of vectors indicating how to mix columns to create the regression matrix
?
Regards
Pascal
