What is the related connection between a spreadsheet and a serial port?
I think you have describe a little bit in which format you are trying to 
send the data or show the AVR code.

Since you are using windoze you haven't the many possibilities as under 
GNU/Linux but octave instrument-control should make it fairly simple.
