Hello,
I'm new to both SmallTalk and GNU SmallTalk so please excuse my
ignorance.
I'm trying to install GNU SmallTalk on my linux machine and the
configure fails to recognize Tcl8.3 and Tk8.3.
I'm under Debian 3.0 (woody)
Packages tcl8.3, tcl8.3-dev, tk8.3, tk8.3-dev are installed.
tcl.h and tk.h are available in /usr/include/tcl8.3/ directory.
The command line I'm using:
address@hidden:~/00-poubelle/smalltalk-1.95.10$ ./configure
--prefix=/usr/local/Installed/GNU-Smalltalk-1.95.10
--with-tcl=/usr/include/tcl8.3 --with-tk=/usr/include/tcl8.3
[...]
checking for Tcl 8.x... no
checking for Tk 8.x... no
checking how to link with Tcl/Tk 8.x... not found
Best regards,
d.
