Although I often use replace-regexp to insert something at the beginning or the end of a block of lines. For example to comment out a region I replace '^' with '# '. Is there any way to do this with Zile? (without schell-command-on-region and sed ;-)
No plans, but it's very easy to code. If you don't fancy doing it yourself, try filing a feature request.
