I'm an observer there and at de.comp.lang.forth for decades now, too.

No. That's a http interface, only usable with a webbrowser. There is no
nntp server interface.
I use a private usenet account at news.individual.de (look at
http://news.individual.de). It belongs to `Freie Universitaet Berlin'
and they take 10 Euro/year. I think, the quality is worthy to support
this institution.
Or have a look at de.comm.software.newsserver for more options.
