[[[ To any NSA and FBI agents reading my email: please consider ]]]
[[[ whether defending the US Constitution against all enemies, ]]]
[[[ foreign or domestic, requires you to follow Snowden's example. ]]]

You replied on the list to a message I sent you privately.
That's not a nice thing to do, because it tends to escalate
disagreement into conflict.

I sent that message to you privately in the hope that you would think
about the issue rather than responding with a defensive attitude.
That's also why I didn't send specific examples of what could have
been said more kindly. I'm not trying to win an argument with you --
I'm asking for your cooperation.

I figured that you would identify some examples while thinking about
the issue. But I will send you some examples if you would like that.
