In the existing (non-safe) installer, the MySQL admin password is not quoted. If
the password contains shell metacharacters (e.g., &), the results are
unpredictable and it is possible that the MySQL installation will fail.

This applies to "All Unix", probably irrelevant for Windows/Mac.
