Great! Unfortunately I am only hotel-modem-connect until next wednesday,
so can't have a look at it directly... but according to your
description, it's om the way ;-)

at the end... the very far end, it could end up as a debian-like
patch-get install <my-system> where the patches are wgetted from their
original source-site. patchit could be a well known packet, so that
people could provide on their "how I got my laptop working" site just
could provide the kernel- and the patchit-config. These are my wet
dreams for the future. Up to then, let's do any possible bloat.

BTW, I think the kernel building area is anyhow outdated like hell as
there are no dependencies you see with make menuconfig... if you change
a Yes/No in some networking tree, it hast incredible effects on the -
let's say - IRDA code. This makes live not very easy...

hey, doing it in xml was just an idea ;-)

doit like:
system_name: Acer TM800
comment: Hey doo!
include: swsup acpi
exclude: xfs

;-) (perhaps you did that already, and I haven seen it because, I did
not get the actual archive).

Anyhow, the project does not sound very living actually, does it? I
still use the laptop-1 version from the project web site, but I would
like to have the clarity about the patches bernd and hanno made, as you
mentioned in your mail...
