Why does 'make' need to identify itself twice?

. Thanks for the report.

With NetBSD 'make', I don't know how to fix this: It apparently ignores the
.NOTPARALLEL target. So, you'll have to use GNU make instead of NetBSD make
here, or omit -j options.
