Muito estranho.  A configuração estava falando pro servidor escutar
*somente* na interface IPv4, e como você notou o IPv6 não estava
funcionando.  Parece que as requisições estavam chegando sem problema
via IPv4, mas o matrix estava tentando fazer conexões IPv6 e falhando.

Eu até abriria um bug report, mas eles usam github e Jira.  Aliás, você
comentou que conversou com os devs a respeito do recaptcha, né?  Será
que não rola uma tentativa de convencê-los a usar pelo menos o gitlab?

Apesar de eu ter o maior prazer em manter o matrix rodando, eu não uso
ele :-).  Então por favor, caso encontre(m) algum outro problema, pode
reportar!
