What's good about it is that it highlights the fact that free software is starved for resources in the form of cash but also in the form of contributions (more users than developers).
Of course there's no talk about the licenses but it does help point out that the problem isn't getting more users or helping more people with your code, it's being able to support and maintain your code.
Other than that I think it's a rubbish article, mentioning the tragedy of the commons without irony despite that being the preferred way businesses like to work, with walled gardens and externalized costs.
