Here is an
outrageous story. A tiny little website called geocoder.ca is
being sued by Canada Post. Geocoder.ca has created a
crowd-sourced database of postal codes that is distributed for
free under the Open Database License (ODbL). Canada Post is
suing to have the data taken down and for lost revenue. Ervin Ruci is the
sole operator and owner of geocoder.ca. Ervin has indicated
that his free postal code data is used by OSM. For more info
