Hi Peter,

Do you think you'd have enough of a handle on this to propose a draft definition (if that's what it's called)? We could then try using it for a few groups, and unearth weaknesses in definition as we go.

You mean in that each group is a filled-in template of structured info?

Yes, but specifically a Semantic MediaWiki template, which provides more
features than usual MediaWiki templates -- for example, the information
in the templates is available in a standard, machine-readable format
(RDF), and also each field in the template has a type, so things like
geographic coordinates can be handled easily.

 From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Resource_Description_Framework, setting up a
rdf wiki is a non-trivial task, since the knowledge base has to be
well-defined and the type, property, template, and form namespaces need to be
powerful enough to express statements in that knowledge domain.

At least I agree with John LibrePlanet should look like freeculture.org, the
question is how to move it in that direction?

Regards,

Peter
