Imo in a great degree:
Gamers are young. And often they are curious and interested in computers.
These people are the perfect audience to be introduced to the concept
and value of free software. If their computing habits are formed in
walled, handcuffed gardens (Xbox, Playstaition, Windows, ...) they miss
a great deal of possible tinkering and "gaming". And we miss their
talent and contributions.

kickstarter project to raise money for a truly free Desura?
