Hi there,

I should have done this earlier, but...

This message is just to announce the creation of the LibrePlanet São
Paulo (Brazil) team.  The wiki page (in pt_BR) for it is:

(Most part of this page is actually the translation of
<http://libreplanet.org/wiki/Group:LibrePlanet_Massachusetts> with
proper modifications).

The team was created by me + some friends of mine, who were disappointed
at another supposedly "free software" group here in Campinas (city in
the state of São Paulo, where we live).  So, we decided to give it a try
and create lp-br-sp :-).

We are planning some activities already, you can find a list of them
(again, in pt_BR) here:

Among them, are:

- LibreBar, a weekly gathering to discuss free software and drink/have
  fun :-);
- Organization of a Document Freedom Day in our city this year;
- Participation in the FLISOL event that also happens in our city;
- {config,hack,install} nights, teaching people on how to config, hack
  or install free softwares.

Well, I think that's all.  We are in #lp-br-sp on Freenode, so if you
speak portuguese and want to keep in touch with the members of the
groups, feel free to join the channel!
