Indubitably, but that requires education! We need packs of information
we can hand to teachers, educators, homeschoolers, and retirees. The
material needs to be crisp, clean, intelligent, have a
theme/uniformity, and use accessible language.

Absolutely.  Most importantly, the material needs to connect emotionally to things non-technical people care about, and to illuminate realistic paths to freedom-respecting options that they can feel attracted to.  We need more (non-technical-)user-centered design of both free software and of software freedom educational outreach materials.
