OK.  I'll try to get that sorted tomorrow - you're exactly right about
the origins of the files.  We started with the i386 port and then
trimmed and replaced (aggressively).

My only concern about checking it in is the DWARF changes, which will
affect other DWARF-using ports.  The .debug_frame reading may be
somewhat expensive.
