I confirm I too see failures after applying the PLT patch on Ubuntu 9.10 (gcc 
4.4.1/glibc 2.10.1).

The good news is that the failures are fixed by the frame-chain walk patch:

Looks like the patches are inter-dependent and I should have reordered or 
combined them.
